So with lan we have choices, so im going to put it to a vote as this seems the best way to decide how this goes. As far as I am concerned both MP @ Ricoh Arena and Epic @ Kettering are both really great venues the differences is simply price and length of event. 

 

Please vote on the poll asap so we can sort the next event out and get the maximum turnout. As a recommendation I would say that we attend as many as possible EpicLan events during the smaller lan events and but prime ourselves once a year for Ricoh that we all try and attend.

Need maybe votes since I'm not sure if I can get time off again or not. Either way I reckon we could do Epiclan earlier in the year as a warm-up and iSeries as our big summer blow-out LAN and then if everyone wants too/can make it, we can do Epic winter since we can sleep inside and the campsite is close.

 

Optimistic, sure, but it'd be neat if we could get it sorted.

There isnt an epic winter lan, unless you are talking about Feb?

Feb is winter, so yeah I guess that could be an epiclan. I don't want to take part in another LANtarctica.

Only negative about Epic. I cannot emphasise how much I miss my Sunday/Monday rehab. That is the time where everyone is chilled and just enjoying the last few hours. Aside from that, good lan.

Yeah I did notice the absence of a day, good lan though, it was good to have everything closer together for a change.

i kind of missed a seperate bar area, to get away from the PC's. tbh the whole event seemed to go so fast i kind of never really got chance to settle down and enjoy it, 

 

completely up to you guys what you do really, i would just like to have you guys at more events, meeting up once a year is a killer for me, especially once you get the post lan blues.and especially when i'm closer to you guys than my own RL friends at the minute. i don't mind turning up anywhere in the country for Lan or drinks, as long as you guys are there and we do our best to bring new members in with us. i still just want things back like old lans used to be

Whatever comes of it, I think we need the three LAN per year back, each one with a good turnout, none of this 4/5 people shit. For some of us, LANS count as some of the yearly getaways so they need to be good. 

 

It seems like Multiplay have everything we want but at a price, and epic have nearly everything for cheap. Tough call, but at the end of the day I would rather see 20 people for 3 days, than 6 people for 4 days.

Still not moved to new job yet, so holiday confirmation is lacking.

At this rate, will probably pitch up at i52 as a spec for a day or two. Keen for i53 as BYOC (and that should hopefully be feasible with holiday by then)

 

Definitely planning to be at epic fourteen as staff, I know Murray-mint from work and yeah, just walked into their event management office and got good vibes straight away.

Well for me it's all about getting time off and transport.

Straight up no to multiplay.

Epiclan went so fast but (or because) it was so good, venue was just right, facilities and food spot on, atmosphere was great, staff were approachable, security was off-kilter but werent tolerating any shitlords and it was fucking affordable.

 

Guys, seriously, we won a pub quiz. This is home now.

 

 

Also i cant make i52 at all cos of post grad exams.

It's a definite no for I-series for the rest of the year at least.

 

Could do an early Epic and consider options for summer lan then.

So the general feel is that;

No more lan this year, save the moneys and attend Epic.Fourteen (Feb 2015). Then it will be a choice if we attent Summer Epic Or Summer Insomnia.

 

I would like to attend on Insomnia event a year because of our sponsor, the venue is good at the richo venue for thoughs who have not been so far and the exibit hall is nice to pick up some stuff. It is a money thing and that I understand but if we plan it early enough then we can get the early bird price.

i'd just like to add can we make sure people know were attending too, old friends like andy, dracky, kanthous, dare i say it gingey know where attending these events still just under a different name, they may probably still want to come, just don't know what were upto?

If I haven't started the new job by the time i52 rolls around, I may attend.

 

 

When it comes to next year, I wouldn't mind doing Spring Epic and Summer Insomnia. Or the other way round.
